In the spring of 2026, CWIMA will offer a both a Machine Tool and Welding focused technical skills competition. Top competing high school Juniors and Seniors will be awarded scholarships that can be used at local technical colleges for any technical field.

Competition Date(s): February 23rd - April 3rd, 2026
Location: Competitions Held at Independent Schools
Scholarships: Scholarship Dollars Available

Who Should Attend:

Competitors must be current high school Juniors or Seniors.
Maximum of five (5) students from each high school.
Recommended that competitors have interest in pursuing post-secondary education in machining, welding, or another manufacturing related field at Mid-State Technical College or Northcentral Technical College.

Registration closes February 13th, 2026 at 5:00pm.
